ABOUT US
HOW
MINISTRY IN MOTION GOT STARTED
Teena Stewart and her husband, Jeff, have
served in both large and small church ministry for over 20 years and during that
time they have come to recognize the value of shared knowledge and mutual
support of those in ministry. Teena’s passion and giftedness for equipping
others and sharing ministry tips, and her skill as a writer, motivated her to
find an outlet where she could interface
and share these resources with other church ministers, leaders, and volunteers.
Ministry in Motion sprang up from this desire to help equip and encourage ministry Christians so that they, in
turn, could help others.
In 2006, Tom Hanover and Dennis Mohler of
DreamBuilders Ministries, and United Methodist Pastors in Ohio joined up with
Teena in the newly incorporated DreamBuilders Ministry in Motion.
With like-minded vision, their hope is to expand the ministry to offer a
full-range of ministry resources for Pastors and Churches.
OUR MISSION
Ministry in Motion recognizes
that healthy church ministry encompasses five key purposes - worship,
discipleship, fellowship, ministry and evangelism.
Our focus is on encouraging
and equipping pastors, volunteers and leaders in ministry so that they grow into
mature Christ followers and they in turn, encourage and equip others to become
mature Christ followers and servant leaders.
OUR MOTTO
"Equipping Leaders for Ministry in the 21st
Century"
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in the Holy Trinity, that Jesus
Christ was God's son who came to earth as a human, died on the cross for our
sins and was resurrected again. And that God desires each person to have a
personal relationship with him. We are non-denominational but are
Protestant in persuasion and non-Charismatic. We follow the purpose
driven model for much of our ministry which focuses on the five purposes of
the church. This includes evangelism, worship, service, fellowship
and discipleship.
OUR APPROACH
Ministry in Motion offers seminars,
speaking, printed resources, e-books and booklets, and a free ezine based on
this purpose driven model.
