MISSIONS CHRISTIANS
Missions Christians -- When we mention missions, many Christians immediately think about overseas ministry, but there are actually many opportunities to reach out to people right in our own communities. The Christian church's challenge is to move away from the "you come to us" attitude expecting people to not only gravitate toward established churches but to adjust and adapt to that culture which is often very foreign to them. By taking on a "we'll come to you" approach Christians learn true apostolic leadership. Reggie McNeal says, "The church is not the destination. The kingdom is the destination." The resources on this page are intended to provide Christians with resources for moving beyond their church walls to develop a genuine heart for unchurched people and bring them into the kingdom. There are no two ways to go about it but at the core of this type of ministry is apostolic leadership that moves from trying to gain and develop church members to the larger picture of the kingdom which focuses on "how do we develop followers of Jesus Christ."
